Annual Family Prison Visit
General Program Description
Through financial support from Correctional Service of Canada and the co-ordinated efforts of the institutional staff, inmate committees, our staff and volunteers, the John Howard Society is able to provide transportation and accommodations for families of Newfoundland inmates serving sentences in Federal Institutions in the Maritimes.
The event is normally organized during the summer and delivered in the fall of each year, allowing selected families from various locations in Newfoundland to visit inmates in Atlantic, Springhill, Dorchester, Westmorland Institutions, and the Nova Center for Women.
