Loretta Bartlett Home For Youth
The Loretta Bartlett Home for Youth (LBHY) is a gender diverse six bed residential facility that provides evidenced based interventions in efforts to achieve the best possible outcomes in crime prevention, reduction, and rehabilitation for our youth. All referrals to the LBHY come from the Department of Children, Seniors, and Social Development (CSSD).

General Program Description
The counselling team at the LBHY fosters a supportive homelike therapeutic environment that encourages the development of critical skills in areas such as relationships, communication, positive coping, education, and employment. Day-to-day structured programming is facilitated using a strength-based approach and utilizes positive mentoring grounded in mutual respect, care, and trust to promote independence, responsibility, and other prosocial outcomes. Our youth are also encouraged to utilize mental health, addictions, and educational services offered by our community partners.
Community Resources
The Loretta Bartlett Home for Youth maintains close relationships with community partners and together share commitment to youth, restorative justice, education and employment. These partners include but are not limited to CSSD, Department of Justice, City of Corner Brook, YMCA, Community Youth Network, Vine Place Community Centre, Western School District, the Community Mental Health Initiative, and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.
